Growing English Ivy indoors is pure unadulterated joy with its quirkily shaped leaves that are both glossy and fleshy. The variegations appear along the leaf in irregular shapes in milky white. The leaves grow profusely on rapidly spreading vines and will easily climb walls and race across ground. They grow exceedingly well in containers and look beautifully tropical and lush in hanging planters.
PLANT CARE:
Light: A variegated ivy plant needs less sunlight and it must be placed out of direct sunlight. Proper care of a variegated ivy requires that you place the ivy plant in indirect or filtered bright sunlight. Variegated ivy leaves will burn if placed in direct sunlight. Variegated ivy will do best on a window sill behind a sheer curtain.
Water: Water thoroughly but infrequently. When the soil feels dry, gently add water to the soil until the surface is totally wet and the water drains out of the bottom of the pot. Then do not water again until the soil is almost dry. Do not allow pots to stand continually in water.
Humidity: Mist the leaves several times a week with a spray bottle. Mist your plant more frequently in the summer growing season- the more water you can supply the blooms, the healthier it will be.
