The Pom Pom Fern has a unique appearance because of it's deep rosette of large, shiny, spear like fronds rather than feather or palm like fronds. Resembling a cheerleader's pompom, this round habit evergreen fern provides a quaint soft look with its unique growth shape and its affinity for indoor growth.

Great for use in a wet tropical garden as a feature plant or as a live indoor plant for decorating a small living space.

In its natural habitat, it grows as an epiphyte (a plant that grows on trees) in the warm, moist, tropical rain forests. Despite its tropical beginnings, it adapts excellently low light houseplant.

PLANT CARE:

Light: Filtered bright- indirect light. Direct sunlight will scorch the leaves.

Humidity : Requires abundant humidity so mist the plant regularly. Provide as much humidity as possible and carefully monitor the soil to ensure plants stay consistently moist. You can set the plants on pebble trays filled with water, so long as the pot does not sit in standing water. You can also mist the plants with room-temperature tap water twice a day.

How to Choose the Best Pot for Growing Ferns: Ferns will grow as large as the pot allows. Many ferns are sold as hanging baskets in plastic pots, and it’s fine to leave them that way if desired. If you want to plant your fern in different container, though, choose plastic or glazed terra cotta. These types of pots take longer to dry out, making it easier to maintain the plants.

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY INFO

Plants are shipped in 5” pot. Includes detailed care instructions.

The plants require special pre-shipping preparation, and ship within 3-5 business days. You'll receive a shipping notification email with tracking when your order ships.

DO'S AND DONT'S AFTER RECEIVING THE PLANT:

  • Do not re-pot the plant immediately after receiving. We’ve taken care of that with better pot and rich soil.
  • Check for the moisture level once you receive the plant. If its optimally moist do not water the plant. If the potting mixture is half dry then water the plant.
