Philodendron Melinonii has impressive paddle-like leaves and fat petioles that can be reddish in colour. The petioles get a deeper colour as the light levels increase. This plant is both terrestrial and epiphytic. An epiphytic species is one capable of growing on the branch of a tree or climbing a tree in to better collect sunlight. A fully grown specimen of Philodendron Melinonii can reach an impressive sizes of 2.5m in diameter!
PLANT DETAILS:

Light: Bright indirect light.
Potting mixture: Potting Soil + Cocopeat + Organic manure/Vermicompost at equal parts and 5% perlite.
Water: Let the potting mixture dry half way between watering. Water the plant once in 3-5 days depending on the light intensity. Over watering results in root rot of the plant.
